Life Background

Raden Ahmad Soebardjo Djojoadisoerjo was born in Karawang Regency, West Java on 23 March 1896. He was a diplomat, one of Indonesia's founding fathers and national hero. And he was the first Foreign Minister of Indonesia.

His Role on the Independence Proclamation

He played an important part towards the Independence Proclamation, along with Bung Karno and Bung Hatta they formulates the text of the proclamation.

He is also known for the instegrationist between the Youngsters and Oldsters.


But his battle has started way before, when he was a student at Leiden University, Faculty of Law on 1919.



He was borned with the name of Teuku Abdul Manaf. He changed his name to Subardjo due to the suggestion from his father's bestfriend.
It is said that the name Subardjo came from a Sanskerta word "subraj" which means brilliant or bright. And the name Ahmad came from his grandfather suggestion.

To save the proclamation Ahmad Soebarjo put his live on the line. And for his sake we can respect him by studying history and never let it repeat itself by learning from them and putting your heart where it suppose to be.
